Home work and study time as a work activity
Successfully advocated for homework and study time to be counted as an allowable work activity in several Bay Area counties.

  Family Resource Centers on Campus
The Dr. Betty Shabazz Family Center at City College of San Francisco and the Stay-in-School Family Center at San Francisco State University are student-run family resource centers that give low-income student-parents the support they need to stay in school—despite welfare reform.

  CalWORKs Parent Advisory Committee
Student-parents in Alameda and Santa Clara counties meet monthly with county officials to develop policies to help CalWORKs parents gain access to higher education & high wage jobs.
