| LIFETIME Parent Leaders host "Family
Violence is Not an Option" in Washington D.C. |
In
January 2003, over 100,000 California families began to reach
their five-year lifetime limit on welfare. In Alameda county,
65% of those families speak little or no English.
As a result, LIFETIME started the Time-Limits campaign to
prove that the California Department of Social Services has
discriminated against many families on welfare. Consequently,
these families welfare timelimit "clocks" should

In
addition LIFETIME conducted a national briefing in Washington
D.C. in March 2005 to report on the results of its Time Limits
survey spefically relating CalWORKs recipients who suffer
